The Palm & Shell is no ordinary beach house–it’s a private oasis where your family can relax, enjoy and make magical Captiva Island memories together.

The Pool
The Palm & Shell has 5 luxurious bedrooms and sleeps up to 12.
The soaring, screened lanai and pool bar will surely be a favorite gathering spot for relaxing, grilling, and chilling. Enjoy our large, heated pool and hot tub, day and night.
Our private beach path is just steps from Captiva’s famed South Seas beach. Enjoy world-class shelling daily!
Stay in with grocery delivery from 2 local grocery stores available, or head out and enjoy the many nearby restaurants, shops and island attractions.
Our Beach
Kitchen
Our gourmet chef’s kitchen is the heart of our home. It’s been lovingly stocked with everything you’ll need for cooking in or carrying out, including meal prep, cooking, baking, serving, storing, entertaining and enjoying, including both a Keurig and a standard 10-cup drip coffee maker, small appliances, (including a blender, food processor, juicer and crock pot), a full set of anodized cookware, Pyrex and non-stick bake ware including cake pans, cupcake pans, a full range of mixing bowls, storage containers, and more.
Dining Room
We believe that every day in Captiva is something to celebrate!
Our large, inside dining room table seats 10 comfortably, with a second satellite table that seats 4. Our poolside dining table seats 8, with plenty of room to pull up additional chairs.
Our home comes with all of the items needed for your daily dining, entertaining and enjoying needs, including: Indoor plates and bowls, drinking glasses, cups and mugs, cocktail and wine glasses, serving bowls and platters, flatware and serving pieces, charcuterie board, dip set, wine bucket, pitchers, and outdoor (unbreakable) plates, bowls and cups.
Living/Family Room
Vacation time = family time and our spacious and comfortable living room features plenty of lounging and gathering space designed for just that. We’ve furnished it with family time in mind–knowing how special this time together is.
Our living room includes 2 large couches, 2 comfortable chairs, a flat panel TV with surround sound for movie nights, cable, a DVD player, smart TV functionality so you can stream from your personal accounts and services, a large, reading library for your enjoyment, including fiction, non-fiction and a selection of Sanibel and Captiva books and a selection of our favorite family card games and board games.
Pool, Lanai and Atrium
The pool area is the jewel in the Palm & Shell’s crown. The soaring, screened atrium area, surrounded in lush palm trees, gives it a resort feel. It will surely be a favorite gathering spot for your family, as it is for ours. Our large, heated pool features deep and shallow ends and ample ledge seating. Relax and unwind in the attached whirlpool spa hot tub, or read and nap in our outdoor lounge area. Enjoy the luxurious chaise lounges around the pool deck or gather at our large outdoor dining table for meals, drinks, games and more.
Enjoy the convenience of our lower level full bath just off of the lanai! Our pool closet has a variety of floats, tubes, noodles, games and pool toys (for kids of all ages) for your use and enjoyment in our pool area only. Our pool bar offers a great place to serve drinks and meals, featuring ample counter space, a sink and a mini fridge and our gas grill is ready for you to fire up anytime!
The Beach
At the Palm & Shell, you are just steps away from the pristine sands of Captiva’s famed South Seas beach. Our private beach path makes quick trips to the beach a breeze–from morning runs to impromptu shelling walks, and from long, lazy days at the beach to viewing the nightly sunset.
Look for pods of frolicking dolphin–they’re regular visitors in our waters!
We provide everything you need to make every day a day at the beach, including beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, a wagon, coolers, Pro Kadima and beach tennis, risbees, Bbuckets, sand castle molds, beach toys and shelling scoops and shovels.
On our garage guest shelves, we have buckets, bowls and strainers for cleaning and drying your shells. (Please do so outside!)
The Palm Suite
Our Master Bedroom is large, open and airy—inspired by the palm trees you will see all around you.
Enjoy sea breezes and Captiva sunshine by day and stargazing and crashing waves by night from your own private master bedroom balcony with comfortable seating.
